New Office In San Juan Capistrano

We are pleased to add an office in historic San Juan Capistrano.    It was only natural to move in with broccardo photography.  Joe and I both own the OC Wedding Pros and thought we would offer our clients and one stop shop for DJ and Photographer.  Your Photographer and DJ/MC are the 2 most important elements for your wedding day.  We are located above the Franciscan Gardens.  Look for the signs upstairs.

New review on the Wedding Wire

The Wedding Wire is a great resource for brides and grooms.  It is not over saturated like the Knot.  As Vendors we get reviewed by our clients and you know your getting a vendor that did not pay to have their company highlighted.  You are ranked by your reviews.

Here is just one of the reviews:
Our DJ -Todd was fabulous!!! He really made everyone at the wedding feel as though they were a part of our special day. He had great ideas on how to keep the day moving and how to keep everyone entertained. I would recommend Essential Mobile Music to anyone looking for a professional and outgoing DJ!

THANK YOU TODD!!!

Ryan and Leilani Ceremony at the Pacific Edge

Ryan and Leilani had perfect weather in Laguna Beach on Saturday.  Minister Bruce Deanza did his normal fabulous job.  Here are a couple of pictures from the ceremony.

The ultimate DJ setup

Using 3 laptops to control lighting, video and music is a DJ's dream.  I use a mac book for audio with serato scratch DJ software, PCVJ software on an HP laptop that has audio and video effects and MYDMX that controls the lighting in the room or venue.  You can make lights pan left or right, change color and movement from the laptop.  It is amazing how a compact setup like the one pictured above can provide such huge shows for over 500 people.

The Advice Dollar Effect/Dinner Hour

Have you ever held your chin during a formal dinner?  Thought=this is an hour of life I am never getting back?  I researched different ways to be interactive during the dinner hour, yet not be the cheesy Johnny Vegas guy. Over the past few years these are ideas I have used.
1.  The Advice Dollar:  This is a bill with your picture on it, (see above) it says million dollar advice,  when you turn it over ==it says million dollar advice to the bride and groom.  We have this in your napkin place setting and let your guests know to write advice to you.  At Dinner we go around to the tables and read the advice to you the bride and groom.  This causes interaction with your guests and fun for you.  We use the Advice dollar to give away the centerpieces, dollar dance and even put them in gift jars at the gift table.  My last couple wanted to incorporate their meet in greet with the advice.  So we went to each table and they took a picture with the table as i read the advice to them.
2.  Another fun thing to do is to tell the guests that if they tap their forks on the table or clank the glasses the bride and groom will not kiss.  But if they sing a love song or kissing song from their table ==then the bride and groom will kiss.  This works every-time and has evolved.  I now have people asking me for backing tracks, and microphones for their tables.
3.  The tried and true bridal trivia is always a winner.  You give 7-10 questions for your guests,  where you first dated, street you live on, honeymoon etc.  Everyone gets involved==and loves a prize.  You do not have to give a huge gift==I have given conversation hearts or $5 starbucks cards as prizes.
4.  The last dinner hour event that I do is the kissing game.  What you do is give me a list of 5 or 6 couples==usually an elderly person, family member and then your friends and bridal party.  I call you up, (bride and groom) to the center of the dance floor and then call one couple from your list.  They must kiss and be original--a twist, a dip are just examples.  Then you must copy the moves of that couple.  This is very fun and the guests get a kick out of this.

Every wedding is different and some couple like 1 or none of the ideas above.  I just like you to have options and a good time at your reception.

Harold's 50th Birthday Celebration

We did a party in Yorba Linda for Harold.  He had a Harley Davidson given to him as a birthday present.  The party was themed for the 50's-60's.  We had a 45 minute video montage and dancing all night long.  These people know how to party. Here are a few pictures.
