New Website

Dawn and I are pleased to introduce our new revamped website at www.emobilemusic.com.  Our website is designed to give all of our clients online tools to work with.  We are committed to top quality and performance.  We have remained a small intimate company for this reason.  The vendors we recommend are the best in the industry.

We look forward to serving you in the future,

Merry Christmas,

Todd and Dawn

Sumo Santa

We did Sumo Santa at the Esterline Leach International event.  Here is a video.
Here is an email we got from the HR Department about the party.
Todd,
I’ve heard great feedback from the party!!  Thanks so much for giving us such a fun time and everyone loved the Sumo Santa Balloon game!  I am looking forward to seeing the video clip.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
J

Thank you,
Cheryl Schlauch

Video Demo

Here is a demo video of our brand new 8x6 video screen with drapery.  You can do your video montage/slide show and we have over 5000 music videos for dancing.

Music Selection

I want to start this post off by saying that music is subjective.  You may love Justin Timberlake and Hate Fergie.  Believe it or not there are even people that dislike Frank Sinatra during cocktail/dinner hour.
That is why we give our clients a choice with our interactive online music planner.  We give you your own webpage to choose and create a list online.  You can program your entire event (average is 15 songs per hour) or pick your favorites and we will have a great idea of your music tastes.  We have over 100 thousand songs at EMM but to be honest we play about 75-200 hundred of them at our events.
Guests like what they know.  I have been told many times by my brides that they don't want to hear the celebrations, we are family, sexyback etc at there wedding.  But there is a reason the DJ top 200 exists.  People like to dance to what they know.  We could play the greatest new song, (Low/ apple bottom jeans)for instance==when that first came out==no one would dance to it.  Now that it is popular==it fills the floor every-time.  You can access the DJ top 200 at www.emobilemusic.com/music.  This list is current as DJ's from California to New York have clients that input daily.  This list is specific for mixed crowds==ages 15 to 60.  It is not the bill board or itunes top 200.

Karaoke

We just printed our new Karaoke books.  Wow!!! over 39,000 songs takes 3oo pages.
We carry all of the top songs and have numerous screens to choose from.  You can use a laptop=a standard tripod screen or a ballroom setup screen.  Everyone loves to sing==one big tip==if you have Karaoke==don't plan on a dance party.

The Marine Ball

Here is a video clip  and some of the highlights of the Marine Ball.

The Marine Ball held at the Marriott in Dana Point was an elegant affair.  There were numerous speeches, a bag pipe player and a Marine Band.  The last hour was music videos from the 60's and  70's as the crowd was older.

The beginning clip shows the behind the scenes of an event.

Jessica and Anthony's Holiday Inn wedding--Oct 11, 2008

This was my longest event so far--6pm to midnight. We had a video montage during dinner, did the kissing game and almost 3 hours of dancing!!
Jessica looked stunning and Anthony was in his Marine finest for their day.  They had a friend perform a couple of his signature songs, and the group dancing to the Cha Cha Slide went over well--even got Grandpa doing the Charlie Brown!!

David and Vanessa, El Adobe Wedding

What a great wedding we had with David and Vanessa. They decided to get married at The El Adobe restaurant, in San Juan Capistrano. Happens to be about three doors down form my office. We met 2.5 hours before the ceremony to get all the portraits done. It was great. We did a nice casual walk through downtown and got some amazing images. This was another The OC Wedding Pros wedding. I got the lead from a referral and I sent them to The website and they found Todd. It is great having a resource likeThe OC Wedding Pros to send my clients to help them find dependable and professional wedding professionals.

New Video Screens and Rear Projection

EMM is happy to announce that we now have the latest in video screen projection.
With the new Ben Q short projection we only need 3 feet to project your video montage and our music videos.  We also offer rear projection==so you will not see the projector in front of the screen.
Here is a picture of one of our screens at a corporate function.

The OC Wedding Pros

This was a wedding Todd and Broccardo Photography did together. Vanessa and David were married at El Adobe in Downtown San Juan Capistrano. We scheduled photos to begin 2.5 hours before the ceremony so we could capture some of the amazing landscape of downtown. This was a fun image we got... When I am all edited up I will update with a few new slideshows... Take care... PEACE

Your Grand Entrance

Most Wedding Receptions are started with the Grand Entrance.  This sets the tone of your day/night reception.  Important things to remember for your Grand Entrance.

1.  Let your Bridal party know where they are sitting after they have been announced
2.  Instruct your Bridal party not to run off after pictures/nothing worse than having to find a groomsman or bridesmaid/let them know where to meet for the Grand Entrance.  You will be very busy and caught up in the moment.
3.  Have fun with your Grand Entrance==Pick a song that fits your personality, (usually a Sports theme, Movie theme or TV Show theme)

We have different ways to enhance your Grand Entrance:

1.  We introduce your bridal party in pairs.  We have a special song for the entrance and then say something about that couple.  It can be a quick saying or sentence. You can also go into detail as we tell the audience about each member of the wedding party
2.  We can put special clips music/themes etc for each member of your bridal party
3.  The standard is to play a fun song and we introduce your bridal party to the guests

We usually give a 10 minute/ 5 minute and 2 minute warning to the guests for the grand entrance.  At 2 minutes we have everyone seated and prep the audience for your Big Entrance!!

It's the small things at your reception

Coordination is such a big part of wedding receptions.  I can not tell you have many times I have had to tell the staff at a venue to pour the champagne.  After the Grand Entrance, the Best Man usually will give  a toast.  If the staff has not poured the Champagne/Martinellis etc. the flow of the reception is off from the very start.
Before a cake cutting it is important that the staff knows so they can have the proper utensils/Glass ware etc.  There is nothing worse than, "Ladies and Gentlemen at this time we will be cutting the cake==please bring your Cameras as this is a great photo opportunity of the bride and groom", only to have the staff say we are not ready.
At EMM we go over every detail with you and your coordinator.  We prefer to do your coordination as we have the Microphones and music.  We also know how the flow of your event should go.  Usually your venue staff has to worry about the food being hot and clearing plates.

Brian And Tanya/Jacks 3rd show

Dawn and I ran into Brian and Tanya at Jack's 3rd show.  We did there wedding back in May.  They had a great 1st dance (choreographed) and the wedding was a blast.  As you can see they always dress for a party.

Jacks 3rd show comments:  Billy Idol stole the show with his energy.  He bounced around on stage with pictures of himself going on the monitors.  Mony Mony rocked the crowd as well as Rebel Yell=its great to see 50 year olds in the crowd going crazy.  REO Speedwagon was very solid==most of the songs were crowd pleasers=Twisted Sister==well what can ya say==Were not gonna take it and I wanna Rock==2 hit wonder with shock rock mouths.  Blondie==Debra Harry is looking 60==although i think she is 58.  It was tough hearing her=the band played louder as she had trouble hitting her notes.  I still enjoyed Rapture and Heart of Glass.  Devo==we left as they were playing We Are Devo==not a fan==I just like whip it.
Overall it was a nice day off with Dawn and good to see the 80's still rock.
